Welcome day masters and PhD track IP Paris

Every year, the Palaiseau campus organizes a special day for newly-arrived Masters and PhD students.

This day, included in the diaries of each department, is based around a number of key events: a welcome amphitheatre featuring the main speakers for your academic year, and a conference for international students on how to deal with the administrative formalities involved in studying in France.

You will also learn about the French healthcare system. Registered students are offered a meal. All you have to do is find your lunch spot: by the lake, in the center of campus near the Bôbar or on the sports fields.

Student associations offer a range of activities, and there’s also a challenge to discover our Palaiseau campus as a group.

The IP Paris team has a few surprises in store for you during the day, so book your Tuesday, September 24, 2024 now!

    Hackathon D4Gen

From March 31 to April 2, 2022, Telecom SudParis, Université d’Évry and ENSIIE will be partnering with Genopole to organize the second D4GEN Hackathon.

The aim? Discover impactful projects in digital genomics and take part in a moment of collective intelligence. How can we do this? By building interdisciplinary communities around “Digital Genomics”, and mainly the issues of sharing, preserving and (re)using massive genome data.

D4GEN is a challenge open to the entire scientific community that allows to:

    • collectively imagine a new concept or prototype a solution
    • Network and open up to new skills
    • Collaborate with experts
    • Accelerate your R&D and remove a technological barrier
    • Gain visibility for your project

Integration week for new students of the Telecom SudParis Class of 2021-2024 will take place from Monday 6 September to Friday 10 September 2021. In contrast to the 2020 school year, which was organized as a co-modal event due to health conditions, our 2021 integration week will take place in a classic 100% face-to-face format.

Prepared by the school’s training department, the communications department and the student and alumni associations, this week will provide all the information about the school, its curriculum, its opportunities, its environment and its student life, and will be adapted to the chosen course of study: general engineering students (FISE), apprenticeship engineering students (FIPA) and foreign students.

It will also be an opportunity for students and all our teams to meet with Sopra Steria, new sponsor of the 2021-2024 class.

Workshop Track 13.6 (Work6): “The Digital Twin and the Internet of Things”
    July 1st, 2021 10:30am – 12:30pm US Eastern Time

Digital Twins (DTs) represent a methodology that is an important aspect of the Internet of Things landscape and is likely to impact a wide range of IoT applications and use cases. There are at least four major high level categories where DTs are likely to have broad adoption, including: manufacturing, products, services, and processes.

The workshop will consist of three sessions that address:

    • (1) Basic aspects of Digital Twins: why they are important and where are they likely to create value, where they fit within the IoT ecosystem, and what implications do they have for organizational design, new business models, and the role of standards and open source.
    • (2) The technological underpinnings of Digital Twins: architectures for Digital Twins, the basic support infrastructure including connectivity, computing, storage, the data sciences, modeling methods and techniques, representation of DTs, the use of AI/ML, Virtual and Augmented Reality, and Additive Manufacturing among others.
    • (3) Use cases and examples of DT: exposing the range of applications and use cases for the Digital Twin concentrating on actual deployments. This includes the four areas cited above and for specific verticals such as industrial manufacturing, personal assistants, healthcare, construction, aerospace, cultural heritage, and smart cities.
